Today, I am pleased to respectfully request that Hillary Clinton not only leave the race for the presidency, but the Democratic Party entirely.
To a South Dakota editorial board, she rationalized why she is still in the race, despite having basically no chance of winning, saying:
“My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don’t understand it,” she said, dismissing calls to drop out.
May I also point out that Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with brain cancer this week? I’m sure what he needed was to not only be reminded of his brother’s death, but to watch a candidate use it for some sort of argument. Nice.
And finally, while Clinton apologized to those who “may have been offended” she did not apologize the person who is now at greater danger because of the crazies she has emboldened. Hillary Clinton — meet Barack Obama. He’s going to be your president. Despite your tremendous stupidity.
